Active Member Requirements

To be an active member of AMSA, members will need:

  • a minimum of 300 points per semester OR

  • a minimum 600 points for the academic year

Whichever members achieve first will count as active membership.

Joining AMSA National

1. Go to amsa.org.

2. Join AMSA by creating a new account.

  • Make sure to indicate your institution as "University of Houston" to be properly registered!

3. You will have to pay the membership fee.

  • Membership costs can be found below.

4. Record your AMSA ID for future use.

5. Send your name, AMSA ID, and a screenshot of the amount paid to amsa.houston@gmail.com.
