Active Member Requirements

Active members are considered to participate in the following activities per semester:

  • 75% of all general meetings

  • 1 volunteer event

  • 2 fundraising events (volunteer or provide supplies)

  • 1 medical school event or workshop (Fall or Spring)

  • 1 social event

Active members are given priority consideration for officer elections

Joining AMSA National

Join AMSA by creating a new  account

Make sure to indicate your institution as "University of Houston"

You will have to pay the membership fee. Costs are found with the link

Record your AMSA ID for future use

Send Name, AMSA ID, to amsa.houston

 and a screenshot of the ammount paid
